Very Smooth. Clément Canne Bleue rhum possesses a diamond-like clarity in your favorite tasting glass. Swirling produces no legs, the rhum runs down the side of the glass in a single sheet. A bouquet of sweet fruity perfume appears more like a whisper, followed quickly by sweet grassy aromas of fresh sugarcane and the slightest hint of tobacco and banana. Canne bleue is remarkable not for its complexity but for the purity of a single essence.
The initial taste is mildly sweet of sugarcane juice, yet dry from the high ABV, with ever so slight vanilla, anise and white pepper spice.A semi-full body coats the tongue with a pleasantly greater viscosity than expected from an overproof rhum agricole blanc, leading to a finish is of moderate duration, yet longer, sweeter and smoother than expected. Clément, you have produced the finest rhum agricole blanc.
